Amegilla (Asarapoda) bombiformis
The Peacock Carpenter bees are among some of Australia's largest bees. Their most defining feature is the bright metallic colours of their bodies that change with the direction of reflected light.
These little guys are greatly endangered in Australia with colonies only found on Kangaroo Island and in New South Wales.
